Washington Island is off the tip of Wisconsin's Door County peninsula and is reached by auto ferry from Northport.

Ferries generally run every half-hour during the day. Plan to arrive at the Northport dock well before the last ferry leaves! See our links page to contact the Washington Island Ferry Line for detailed information on ferry schedules and fares.

Highways 57 and 42 serve Door County. 57, on the lake side, is generally faster. 42, on the Green Bay side, is more scenic and congested. Going north on I-43, pick up 42 near Two Rivers or 57 at Green Bay. See the Door County Map below.
